Our Guiding Principle
Kruchten Engineering Services operates based on one guiding principle: your long-term interests are what we care about. We are more interested in making sure that we're meeting your long-term needs than in simply closing the deal, delivering outputs and getting paid.
Practically what does this mean? It means that:
- We strive to listen. If we don't listen to what you're saying you need, we can't meet those needs adequately. We constantly question our preconceptions about your needs to make sure what you get is what you actually needed.
- We take pride in our work. We don't cut corners. We don't leave problems for the next consultant to deal with. We're not done until we feel that we could show off our work proudly.
- We stand by our work. If we've made a serious mistake or delivered buggy software, we will do our best to address the problem. If, after our work is concluded, you have questions or concerns, we will strive to answer them.
- We don't select solutions based on our own strengths, but on your needs. We're excellent software developers and we have our favourite tools, but if we feel it would be cheaper or better for you, we won't hesitate to recommend a competitor, an off-the-shelf product, or to reuse open-source code, even if that means we get less work.
- We deliver source code, documentation and basic training. If you can't continue to use or maintain what you've paid us for, we don't feel that we've done our job right.
